I am no longer an Independent Designer with Origami Owl :(

I LOVE Origami Owl. Everything about the company- the Force For Good, the relationships I have made, the confidence with speaking to the public I have gained, the stories I have heard from customers while they create their living locket, the people who work at corporate (The Nest), the time with my family, the time with my husband at events-I LOVE THE JEWELRY!! The way the charms make you feel. The way you feel when you see a charm that reminds you of a past experience or a future dream. I fell in love with the little charms that I received in my first living locket, I joined and then fell in love with the company.

I wish things were different and that I could stay as a designer. I will miss it so very much, Family is the most important thing to me though and with NO hesitation came the realization-that I have to stop. I have to stop bringing in extra income due to the financial limitations we are in. My husband has ESRD and is on SSDI. We have lost some of his benefits because of the extra income I was bringing into the household.

At first I thought it was not fair- but change is hard. Origami Owl has been a big part of my life for the last 5 years. I will continue to wear my jewelry everyday. I need to wear my Zero locket. I used to call it my ‘Zero memorial’ locket but it’s really my ‘Zero therapy’ locket.

Zero was struck by a truck and didn’t survive. I witnessed it. I have a hard time describing what it did to me. It was the worst feeling in the world. It’s been a couple years now – I wear his locket everyday. I need to wear it. It calms me down. He was our fur baby. His picture, locket and story made it into the Origami Owl Mother’s Day catalog. I have that to treasure as well.

I switch off my other locket between my favorites- I have my ‘poof you’re a cheesecake’ locket, my spinning crystal ball locket that has pink flowers and dragonfly charms, my angel feather heart locket and my key locket, all my ‘seasonal’ lockets (Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, Valentine’s Day, my birthday, my kids birthdays etc.), my Harry Potter themed lockets and my The Magicians themed lockets. I have more and will wear them all proudly.

I will continue to buy- I’ll be the first to admit that I am obsessed with Origami Owl. There is just so much emotion in each piece.

Please don’t stop loving Origami Owl jewelry. I still love it- my sister Casey is an Independent Designer and I will be shopping from her- you can too. http://www.charmedbycase.origamiowl.com and if you are looking for something to do- I highly recommend joining. Origami Owl is a great company and they have wonderful and helpful staff.

I will be updating all of my social media- and where I can change the website- I’ll be placing my sister’s website- to reflect that I am just me meow. Just Clara Martinez ♥️

Thank you for reading and remember-

Happy Creating,
